Merry Christmas: Eurovision Advent calendar day 16

Warm up to Christmas by listening to the beautiful carols performed by Eurovision artists. Each day until Christmas features a new act giving their version of a Christmas song. As 16th, we listen to German Michelle.

In 2001, Germany was represented by Michelle. With the song Wer Liebe lebt, she finished 8th. Over the years, Michelle has released a two digit number of albums and won several awards. She is now 45 years old and still an active singer in Germany.

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht is the world famous song many knows as ‘Silent Night’. This Christmas carol is well known all across the world in varies languages, but originally from 1818 by Austrian composer Franz Xaver Gruber. It’s lyrics has changed a bit of the years, but is still considered one of the most traditional Christmas carols and has status as
UNESCO Cultural heritage.
