Three Eurovision participants meet for 46 Christmas concerts around Norway

When the annuly Norwegian Christmas tour Stille Natt Hellige Natt kicks off on the 27th of November it will be with three former Eurovision Song Contest participants involved, two of them winners. Tor Endresen, Elisabeth Andreassen and Alexander Rybak will bring the Norwegian into the right spirit.

The concert tour starts on the 27th of November and includes a total of 46 church concerts around Norway. This year the line up consist of Rune Larsen, Marian Aas Hansen, Tor Endresen, Alexander Rybak and Elisabeth Andreassen.

Tor Endresen represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1997 with the song San Francisco, which however wasn’t well received in the rest of Europe as it got no points at all in the final.

Elisabeth Andressen has had a lot more success than that as she has won the Norwegian selection a total of three times – after first representing Sweden in 1982. She went on to winning the contest in 1885 as a part of Bobbysocks with the song La’ Det Swinge and in her last participation in 1996 she came second singing the beautiful ballad I Evighet.

Alexander Rybak only participated once, but that was enough as he won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 with Fairytale.

"The Still Natt Hellige Natt" tour has been going on for 25 years now and as for the last 13 years a part of the ticket income will go to a charity organisation that helps HIV affected children in Africa and street-children in South America.
