Spanish National Final – All Finalist Songs Revealed

Destino Eurovisión comes to an end. It will be next Friday, 18th February, when finally, the three finalists will compete to become the Spanish representative in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The audience will have the last word and they will decide among Lucía Pérez, Melissa or Auryn who will perform a medley of nine potential entries, three each.

The selection process for the perfect singer and song is near to its end. Only three artists have arrived to the grand finale and only one will be chosen. This Friday is also the time to select the song among the nine finalists. Each of the finalist singers will perform a mix of three candidate tracks. After a first performance, the judges will eliminate one of the songs from each artist and, after the second performance; they will do the same with another one. In this way, there will be three songs associated with the three finalist artists.

RTVE have published snippets of the nine songs to be performed in the national final. You can listen to them here.

The high point of Destino Eurovisión will be when the three songs are performed in full by the artist or group. Then, it will be time to make the final decision and the audience will have the last word via televoting.

A committee of experts has decided to declare void the possibility of jokers because the candidates did not fit the profile sought.

The show, which will take place in San Cugat del Vallés (Barcelona), will be presented once again by Anne Igartiburu and Daniel Diges, the 2010 Spanish representative, who will be reporting from backstage.

You can watch the national final of Destino Eurovisión on Friday the 18th of February at 22:15 CET on TVE-1 or through the officialwebcast.
