Sanna Nielsen and Brolle qualifies to the swedish final

Sanna Nielsen and Brolle were the winners of tonights 2nd semi-final of Melodifestivalen which took place in Göteborg. The Moniker and Loreen gets a second chance.

The songs

1. Brolle – "7 Days And 7 Nights" (Kjell Junior "Brolle" Wallmark)
Brolle is singing a midtempo rock/pop song. He has great contact with the cameras throughout the song and seems to live up to the expectations of being one of the two tonight that will get a ticket to the final.

2. Loreen – "My Heart is Refusing Me" (Moh Denebi, Björn Djupström, Lorén Talhaoui)
The song starts as a ballad but there is a dance beat in the background that grows up to the refrain. Loreen has four dancers on stage who does much of the stage show while Loreen herself does not make too many moves.

3. Babsan – "Ge mig en spanjor" (Larry Forsberg, Sven-Inge Sjöberg, Lennart Wastesson)
The song starts with Babsan dancing behind a tv-screen on stage with the media profile & record company manager Bert Karlsson.
Babsan is accompanied by four dancers on stage and the number includes several dress changes. The song is an uptempo song with a march beat. Babsans voice is quite weak but this is also more of a show number rather than a song that needs a singer with a big voice.

4. Elisabeth Andreassen – "Vaken i en dröm" (Lars "Dille" Diedricson, Calle Kindbom, Kristian Wejshag)
Elisabeth is doing a big ballad much in the same style as I evighet. It starts of with Elisabeth alone on the stage with a microphone stand. The stage itself is filled with theatrical fog. Halfway through the song the backing singers comes out of the fog to stand behind Elisabeth. There is also a wind machine being used in this number.

5. Sanna Nielsen – "I’m in Love" (Bobby Ljunggren, Thomas G:son, Irini Michas, Peter Boström)
Sanna is doing a midtempo pop song. The song goes in the style that so often can be heard in Melodifestivalen. This is more like her previous song "Vĺgar du, vĺgar jag" rather than "Empty room". It starts with Sanna in a kind of round cage without a roof. The bars of the cage are lighting and flashing. Sanna is walking on a moving floor inside the cage. The dancers are hoisted up in the the ceiling at the end of the song.

6. The Moniker" – "Oh My God!" (Daniel Karlsson)
This could best be described as a happy song with influences from the 60’s. The refrain is catchy and goes "Oh la la, I’m in love". Daniel is walking on a moving floor in one part of the song, jumps around and does some spastic moves when he sings.

7. Anniela – "Elektrisk" (Johan Alkenäs, Tim Larsson, Tobias Lundgren, Johan Fransson)
Anniela is lowered down from the ceiling lying diwb on a "table". The song is a midtempo song with a clear dancing beat. You can hear that it’s the same song writing team that wrote "Alla flickor" and "Hur svĺrt kan det va" for Linda Bengtzing and Anniela herself looks a bit like Linda. Pyrotechnics are used during the song and at the end of the song Anniela is "Electrified".

8. Christian Walz – "Like Suicide" (Fernando Fuentes, Henrik Janson, Tony Nilsson)
The song has a build up and style that reminds a little of Salem Al Fakirs "Keep on moving" from last years MF. Christian walks around on the stage surrounded by a violion-playing orchestra. The stage is in red and black during the performance.

The show
The opening number features the hosts Marie Serneholt and Rickard Olsson doing a parody of Aquas Barbie girl. There are some jokes about the mistakes that SVT made in the first semi-final (the mistake of first announcing Jenny Silver & Pernilla Andersson as the ones who were figthing for a place in the second chance and fifth place instead of Penilla Andersson & Le Kid). After this we have Christer Sjögren ("I love Europe", MF 2008) who performs the german ESC-entry from 1979 "Dschingis Khan".

Christer returns in the first interval act in a sketch together with the actor Peter Stormare who will transformate Christer the danceband singer to David Bowie. Marie & Rickard makes a short singing number where they make more fun about SVT’s mistakes in the last show and how the press wrote about it.

In the second interval act "the new" Christer Sjögren sings David Bowies song "Life on mars".
