Franklin Brown to be a classic crooner

Franklin Brown who finished 7th in the Eurovision Song Contest together with Maxine in 1996 is now ready to seek other ways. After singing in various musicals in recent years he has now started a trio that will sing a la Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.

The trio that simply call themselves The Classic Crooners consists of Franklin Brown, Sonny Hoogwerf and Peter Douglas. On their website they say that they “will make sure the audience will feel like being in a typical American jazz club” and that they “will bring you a way of entertainment Europe is no longer used to”.

When The Classic Crooners performs it will be 30 minutes full of well-known songs like My Way, New York New York, Quando Quando Quando, Strangers In The Night, Something Stupid and the Italian Eurovision Song Contest entry from 1958 Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu also better known as Volare.
