Congratulations on being selected to represent Romania at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Hello! And thank you for congratulating me…

What were your feelings when you won the Romanian national selection?
I was very happy and content, I thought of my family and my the teachers who prepared me for this contest.

Have you previously competed in the Romanian Junior Eurovision selections? If so, could you tell us about your songs?
No,I haven’t. It’s for the first time when I took part in this contest and will also be the last time as the rules don`t allow me to take part in it again – because of my age.

How are your preparations for Kiev going?
The preparations for Kiev are going very well…We are working intensly for the scene appearance together with the dancers as well as for my voice (canto lessons).

Have you been on the TV or radio to promote your song?
I have already been on TV and Radio and I’m going to have some more TV appearances.

Have you taken part in any other festivals in Romania or other countries?
Yes,of course. The most important festivals took place this summer, when I won two of the biggest contests in Romania: the first place at "Cerbul de Aur Junior 2009" and the second place at "Mamaia copiilor 2009".

Have you recorded any other songs? If so, could you please tell us about them and the style of the music?
Yes,I have recorded some other songs, too.I sing in the style I like, especially pop-dance,pop-rock,blues and jazz.

Who are your music influences and what music do you like to listen to now?
I prefer to be original in my music but I listen to the music I already mentioned.

Have you heard any other songs from this year’s Junior Eurovision? If so, who do you think will be your biggest challengers?
Yes, I’ve heard all the other songs and I think all the contestants are very well prepared.

Do you keep in touch with any of the other singers from this year’s Romanian Junior contest?
Of course, I keep in touch with almost all of the other singers in the Romanian Junior contest.

Are there plans to release the song in Romania and to record an album?
I consider I have released the song in Romania at the National Selection for Junior Eurovision – and yes, soon I will integrate it in my new album.

Did you watch the main Eurovision Song Contest this year? What were your favourite songs?
Yes,I did, I am a fan of this fantastic contest. My favourite song was, of course, Elena Gheorghe’s song, Balkan Girls

Finally, which question that I haven’t asked you would you like to ask yourself and what would your answer to it be?

Which are the thoughts that cross your mind now,on your way to Kiev?
I am very excited about the contest and I am looking forward to meet new people, who I can become friends with.

Thank you and good luck for all the contestants!
Do not forget my message that "You have the power in your hand"
Vote for me if you like my song!

Best regards,
Ioana

Thank you, Ioana, good luck in Kiev
