Backstreet Boys’ Howie D. joins A Friend In London for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix

When A Friend In London on Saturday will perform at the 2012 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix it is going to be with Howie D. from Backstreet Boys as a guest artist. This special version of New Tomorrow is being planned as a bonus track on their albim, which hit the stores in spring.

A Friend In London will go on stage in this year’s Danish final just before the new winner will be announced. They will be singing their 2011 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix winner, New Tomorrow, which finished 5th at the Eurovision Song Contest in Germany – but it won’t be the version we know so well, as today it was announced that Howie D. from the world famous band Backstreet Boys will join them.

Howie Dorough heard about A Friend In London through their Canadian manager who has worked together with Backstreet Boys. He liked their music and agreed to sing with them. Leadsinger in A Friend In London Tim Schou is thrilled: "In A Friend In London we like to break with the norms for what a rockband do. Howie D. is a part of one of the world’s largest pop phenomenon, and that I as a little singer from Stevns will be singing with someone from Backstreet Boys, that is absolutely crazy and we love it", Tim says to DR.

He adds that he hope that this new version of New Tomorrow will appear on their long waited debutalbum, which should hit the stores during spring, an album that was recorded in Canada in December.
