Eurovision 2015: Ireland’s second rehearsal

Ireland will be performing 2nd in the upcoming Second Semi Final this Thursday. The country is represented by Molly Sterling with the song Playing With Numbers. Are there any changes since the country’s first rehearsal? What is the impression left by the song amongst the other entries in the running order? We try to answer your questions reporting live from inside the hall of Wiener Stadthalle.

We get a gslimpse of the introduction video for Ireland, which takes place inside the Wiener Stadthalle and the hall – a girl is shown around the place. Again, no noticeable changes since Ireland’s first rehearsal. Even though the preceding Lithuanian song was uptempo and Ireland is a ballad, I don’t think that the two songs sit together in a particularly interesting juxtaposition. I notice today that Molly keeps her eyes shut while she’s singing for a bit too long. I also think that she would connect better with the viewers if she looked to the camera – either than for the final shot, she hardly ever does that. Ireland nevertheless comes across as quite sophisticated – not sure whether it will make it to the final but not out of the question either for any particular reason.

Ireland has managed to qualify five out of the nine times it has been in the semi finals.
