20 participants will compete in next year’s edition of Depi Evratesil, the Armenian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. They will compete in live shows to reach first the semi-final and after that the final, from which a winner will be found. A combination of an international jury and the viewers at home will be used in the shows.

The participants are: Robert Koloyan, Sevak Khanaghyan, Suren Poghosyan, Mger Armenia, Tyom, Zhanna Davtyan, Hayk Kasparov, Gevorg Harutyunyan, Maria’s Secret, Hasmik Shiroyan, Angel, Amaliya Margaryan, Tamar Kaprelian, Lusine Mardanyan, Arman Mesropyan, Mariam, Kamil, “Nemra”, “Alternative” and “Gata” bands.

In January the songs will be made available to listen to, while the first live show won’t start until the 3rd of February.

Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest

With 11 appearances, and only once failed to reach the final, Armenia is a very successful Eurovision country. Out of their 10 times in the final, they 7 times ended in top 10! a 4th place which they managed twice, in 2008 and 2014, is their best result.

At the 2017 contest, Armenia was represented by Artsvik who however finished 18th in the final, and as such scored quite below the country’s average, though she still reached the final. Take a look at her entry Fly With Me in the video below in a special Full Stage View video:
