Daniel Kajmakoski wins Your Face Sounds Familiar with Måns Zelmerlöw’s Heroes

The final episode of the Serbian version of the tv-show “Your Face Sounds Familiar” was held in Belgrade Saturday. Daniel Kajmakoski, who represented FYR Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in 2014 won the show, as he got the most public vote.

The third season of Your Face Sounds Familiar was premiered on March 6th this year. The show contained 12 episodes, throughout which the famous singers and actors from the former Yugoslavia were challenged to impersonate the world famous artists and their songs.

Daniel Kajmakoski’s best performance before the finale came, according to the jury of 4 people inclusive the guest judge, in the third episode, where he sang Tina Turner’s Bond-song Golden Eye. Kajmakoski actually won this episode. The same jury voted his performance in the fifth episode to be the weakest one. This time he impersonated Karolina Gočeva – another Macedonian participant in the Eurovision Song Contest (2002 and 2007). It’s interesting that some of former participants in the Eurovision Song Contest such as Knez and Željko Joksimović appeared as the guest judges in the show.

In the final Kajmakoski performed Måns Zelmerlöws winner song from the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna last year – Heroes. All the jury members were impressed by his performance and especially his choreography with children on the stage like we saw at this year’s interval act for semi-final two. However the jury wasn’t allowed to vote in the final episode. Kajmakoski won the prize money of € 25.000, which he donated to a single mother with two sick children from Kumanovo – a small town in the northern part of FYR Macedonia.
