Australia to announce its Eurovision 2017 entry on March 7th

Australia’s next Eurovision act will be announced by SBS on Tuesday the 7th of March. For the first time ever, their artist and song will both be revealed at the same time. This will happen in a live performance at a secret location in Melbourne, hosted by Julia Zemiro and broadcast of course by SBS.

This live performance will be broadcast on SBS’s official Facebook page from 17:30 local time, (07:30 CET). Rumours are already flooding the internet, with X Factor winner Isaiah Firebrace, and pop duo The Veronicas being the favourites to represent Australia in its third participation at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Australia will be performing in the first half of the first semi final on 9 May, and are hoping to win this year after Dami Im’s second place in Stockholm last year with her song Sound Of Silence. Enjoy her performance in the video below:
