Three more songs for Junior Eurovision 2015 released

We are in the final stretch of preparations for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. After the announcement of Australia’s participation, it was the turn of Georgia, FYR Macedonia and Armenia’s song presentations. In addition to that the official stage design was revealed.

The Virus will represent Georgia in JESC 2015

The Georgian song for Junior Eurovision 2015 is called Gabede which means Dare. The track is composed by Giga Kukhianidze and written by Erekle Deisadze, with Boriko Shkhiani in charge of the arrangement. The official video clip, directed by Giga Kukhianidze and Ramaz Gunava, was shot a few days ago. During the shooting of the video, the trio was wearing costumes designed by Marika Kurdubadze. Tamar Gogoreliani was in charge of the choreography. The Virus is formed by Elene, Tako, Lizi and Data, who were internally chosen by GPB broadcaster to represent Georgia in Bulgaria. The four kids have been actively working the past weeks, together with vocal coach, composers and choreographers, on having their entry ready for the contest.

This will be the 9th entry of Georgia in Junior Eurovision. Georgia deduted at the contest in 2007 and is the only country along with Belarus which have won the contest twice (2008, 2011). Georgia has managed to be in the top10, in all their appearances except last year when they reached the 11th place which is their worst result so far.

Ivana and Magdalena will sing Pletenka for FYR Macedonia in Sofia

13-year-olds Ivana Petkovska & Magdalena Aleksovska were internally selected by MRK after holding live auditions on 6th of Sepember in Skopje. The song is composed by themselves, Magdalena made the music while Ivana wrote the lyrics. The song was released in the official channel of Junior Eurovision yesterday.

FYR Macedonia was one of the 16 countries who participated in the 1st Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. The country has participated in every contest since except in 2012 and 2014. Their best result is two occasions where they ended on a 5th place (2007, 2008).

Mika will sing Love for Armenia

The last but not least is Armenia. Armenia presented their song some minutes ago. It is named Love and performed by Michael Varosyan (MIKA). The song is composed by Lilith Navasardyan, lyrics by Avet Barseghyan and Co-composed and co-written by MIKA. Love is a Rock ‘n’ Roll track which carries a message of the importance of love and laugther, and spreads the positive energy with the help of amazing dance rhythms. MIKA  is very happy for his particpation as we can see in his speech:

I really enjoyed creating my song together with Lilit and Avet. “Love” carries the message of the importance of love, it is very rhythmic and is filled with positive energy and emotions, my emotions. I think you are going to love it!

This year, the Armenian public broadcaster decided to choose internally the 12-year old singer Mika Varosyan. It is the first time since 2007 ARMTV went internal for their Junior selection having hold national finals the past seven editions.

This is the 9th entry of Armenia in the contest. Armenia entered the contest in 2007 with a respectable 2nd place. They have won the contest once in 2010, but they have two silvers (2007, 2009) and two bronze medals (2012, 2014). Armenia is one of the most succesful countries in Junior Eurovision Song Contest. They are always in top10, with an 8th place as their worst result.

Official stage desing for Junior Eurovision 2015 presented

During the meeting of Heads of Delegation yesterday in Sofia, the host broadcaster (BNT) presented the official stage design of this year’s contest. Director General of BNT Viara Ankova said about it:

The preparation of this enormous event is already at an advanced stage… I want to express my great pleasure that the project has involved so many young professionals from various fields. Their energy and willingness to create a unique experience for all, has really impressed me…We found young artists to design the trophies, and the stage costumes… as well as more than 200 young dancers and other artists on stage from Bulgaria during the show.

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 will take place in Arena Armeec in Sofia, Bulgaria on the 21st of November 2015 with 17 countries competing.
