Cliff Richard is one of the best selling artists in Europe, he has had a big career all over the world and was knighted by the Queen in 1995, but never managed to win the Eurovision Song Contest, despite his two entries being among the most loved and played songs from the Contest.
On the 7th of September at the National Concert Hall Phil Coulter and his wife Geraldine Branagan will hold a concert to commemorate the contribution of the Irish Defence Forces to the UN Peace-Keeping Forces over the last 50 years.
Spanish TV claims that it wasn’t actually true when the country won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1968. Apparently General Franco stole the victory from the United Kingdom’s Cliff Richard who was beaten with just one point.
The Olsen Brothers and Cliff Richard will meet in the studio in September to record the song Walk Right Back that was used as opening song for the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest.
