Swedish singer Shirley Clamp has participated in Melodifestivalen several times over the years. On Tuesday, she gave birth to a little baby girl.

Within the past few months both Richard Herrey and Charlotte Perrelli have announced that their marriages have come to an end. Swedish media outlets are speculating that Sanna Nielsen will be the next one after she showed up to a performance on Tuesday evening without her engagement ring.

The program for SVT’s popular series of open air sing along concerts offers many familiar names in the 2008 edition, where Arja Saijonmaa, Sanna Nielsen, BWO, Christer Sjögren and Maria Haukaas Storeng are among the many who will be performing at Skansen during the summer.

‘Stronger’ is Sanna Nielsen’s first album in English. Why does she think now is the right time to record it? Her record company came up with the idea but this wasn’t the deciding factor.

Most of the ten finalists from the Swedish selection will have a busy summer. Many of them have recently released a new album or are about to and the summer will bring concerts in Sweden as well as in Europe.

After Sanna Nielsen won the public voting, but lost the chance to represent Sweden in Belgrade due to jury points the question in Sweden is now again if their system is fair or not - right now Sanna Nielsen has all the sympathy. 

Sanna Nielsen took time from her busy schedule to talk to Eurovisionary.com in the build up to the final of Melodifestivalen on Saturday.

If NordicBets odds are to be trusted Carola Häggkvist and Andreas Johnson will qualify for the final in Globen via the Second chance round. Ola and Sibel will be fighting for the second spot, but Charlotte Perrelli or Sanna Nielsen will win the final.
