Danish national final runner up Kim Larsen continues his protests against the smoking ban. Together with other prominent singers such as Thomas Helmig, Johnny Madsen and Klaus Kjellerup, he has now recorded a protest song.

Danish national final singer Kim Larsen has launched a campaign called “Gesundheit macht frei”. It is being criticized for the inspiration from the old Nazi slogan “Arbeit macht frei”, a deliberate choice as they believe that strong smoking laws take away people's personal freedom.

Tommy Seebach represented Denmark three times at the Eurovision Song Contest: 1979, 1981 and 1993. This is his first attempt from 1979 with came 5th.
