There are indications that NRK have every intention of continuing with same format they have employed for the last few years.

Speculations are over as NRK today in a press conference revealed that it will be Oslo hosting the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. EBU went along with their request for a change of dates and the dates for the three live events are now set to be 25th, 27th and 29th of May.

Though it has previously been announced that the Telenor Arena has been pre-booked in relation to the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest a heated debate is now taking place in Norway. 1996 arena Oslo Spektrum is mentioned as well, while other cities argue that they deserve it more than the capital.
