Dutch pop star Gerard Joling, who represented the Netherlands in the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, has been through an emergency operation that delayed the presentation of his new album and a part in a film. He is in recovery now and the new album is ready to hit the stores as well as the charts.
1988 Eurovision co-host Pat Kenny has been involved in a high court case for the last week. The case was taken by Kenny's neighbour of 20 years, Gerard Charlton, who was seeking the court to ratify his ownership of a 0.2 acre patch of land beside Mr. Kenny's house.
The Danish duo Kirsten & Søren, internationally known as Hot Eyes, have participated three times at the Eurovision Song Contest. They are a big part of Danish Eurovision history, not only because of their entries, but simply as they played a major part in the Danish finals of the 1980's.
