Mr. Grand Prix Keld Heick has released a solo album with cover versions of rather unknown Rock’n’roll songs from the 1950’s and ‘60’s. For his fans this is very different from the schlager style they are use to, but for Keld it is going back to his roots where he started 50 years ago.

The official album with all 10 songs from the 2009 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix is becoming a best seller, as usual. The charts also reveal that the re-lease of the 2008 album from Brinck, who won the Danish national final, is selling well. The Danish album top40 includes several Eurovision Song Contest connections.

Last night, after all the excitement of the voting in the Irish national final, we spoke to 1988 Eurovision host, Pat Kenny. He told us about his experience of the contest that year, what he thought of last night's songs and his view on the return of the jury to the contest.

Dutch pop star Gerard Joling, who represented the Netherlands in the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, has been through an emergency operation that delayed the presentation of his new album and a part in a film. He is in recovery now and the new album is ready to hit the stores as well as the charts.

Ex-Eurovision host settles court case

1988 Eurovision co-host Pat Kenny has been involved in a high court case for the last week.  The case was taken by Kenny's neighbour of 20 years, Gerard Charlton, who was seeking the court to ratify his ownership of a 0.2 acre patch of land beside Mr. Kenny's house.
