EuroVisionary.com - Eurovision Song Contest 2008, Belgrade

As previously reported on Eurovisionary.com, San Marino’s Miodio have released plans for a summer tour. They have now added some more dates.

After representing San Marino at its very first participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, Miodio is now ready for a summer tour where they will be performing in Italy, Moldova and San Marino. At the same time the country’s Minister of Youth express hopes to be back for Eurovision 2009.

The fifth day of rehearsals saw most of the countries participating in the first semi-final rehearse for the second time. The day started in the Balkans with Montenegro and ended, well, in the Balkans with Bosnia.

It is quite common that the participants performs a bit at their press conferences. Some present their own entry, maybe in another version while others gives the audience a taste of what else they have to offer.

Every day, Eurovisionary will be bringing you a summary of all the press conferences held by each delegation soon after they have rehearsed. Today was the first day of rehearsals and Montenegro had the honour of getting things underway.

This year's Eurovision Song Contest will be a different kind of show for the San Marinese people.  They will participate for the very first time in Belgrade and it will definitely be a new adventure for them. 

Like many of their fellow acts in the 2008 contest, Miodio are embarking on a promotional tour. Oddly enough they have decided to start their tour in a non-participating country, albeit their neighbour.

Many fans have been wishing for a return of Italy to the contest and this year it has nearly come true.  2008 sees San Marino's first entry and they have just launched the official promotional video.

San Marino is taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time this year.  Earlier today it was announced by the special committee that the band Miodio had been chosen as the San Marinese entry.
