Eurovision Song Contest artists hit the Danish charts

This week seven of the participants from the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest are to be found on the Danish charts. The winner, Dima Bilan, is nowhere to be found on the Top-40 while Sebastien Tellier and Kalomira joins the Nordic participants in a success in Denmark.

Continuing the trend that has been seen in many countries already the viewing figures in Latvia for the 2008 contest took quite a tumble.  Last year nearly 40% of Latvians over the age of 4 watched the final of the Eurovision Song Contest.  This year just over 30% tuned in for the grand final.

Exactly a week to go before the Eurovision final and the rehearsals and press conferences continue apace. This morning, Tereza Kerndlova was the first to step on to the stage. She and her backing singers and dancers looked splendid in their predominantly silver outfits.

Until the end of this week every day offers rehearsals and press conferences. It is becoming a nice tradition that most participants performs a bit at their press conferences - and as usual EuroVisionary offers you a summary of how it came across.

Yesterday,  the remaining countries in the second semi-final, from Latvia to Portugal, took to the stage and the press conference room, although not at the same time.

The Latvians haven't had the easiest ride in Eurovision over the last few years, their last good result was thanks to Walters & Kazha back in 2005.  Now they have seen Estonia's and Ireland's entries and decided to follow suit. 

F.L.Y. - Hello from Mars

F.L.Y. only managed to score 5 points in the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest held on homefield. With 5 points they ended 24th out of 26 participating countries.
