Malcolm Lincoln wins Eesti Laul 2010 with Siren

Tonight, national broadcaster ERR's ETV has held Estonian national final that is called Eesti Laul for the Eurovision Song Contest which will take part in Oslo this year. Malcolm Lincoln won the competition where ten acts participated for the ticket of Oslo.

39 countries to participate in Oslo - three countries less than last year

EBU has just announced that a total number of 39 countries will participate at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo in May. Hungary, Czech Republic and Montenegro do not wish to take part while no new countries will be joining or rejoining the Contest.

ERR, the national broadcaster in Estonia, has announced details of the selection of the 2010 song for Oslo.

EBU Releases Complete Results of Eurovision 2009

As promised a couple of days ago, the European Broadcasting Union has released the complete results from this year’s contest. This means that we can now see how the public voted, and how the juries voted.

In an announcement made on video website, Youtube, the EBU has announced that the results of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest will be revealed.

Four Eurovision Song Contest entries on Finnish chart

For the second week in a row the Finnish single top20 features four of the entries from the newly held Eurovision Song Contest. All of them have suffered a little drop though compared to the first week where three of them were placed as second, third and fourth.

Last year’s Eurovision Song Contest final was seen by 105 million so the 122 million for this year is quite an increase. The show was most popular in Greece, Norway, Lithuania, Estonia, Sweden and Denmark who all produced a market share of minimum 68%. In average the total market share was 43,1%.

Much interest in the voting for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest centered on the introduction of juries in each country to vote alongside the public phone vote.

The results of both semifinals have now been released by the EBU. They make interesting reading. The jury overturned the telephone vote to save countries in each of the semifinals. Quite annoying if your country finished 10th in the phone vote.
