Having been beaten by Kirsten and Søren's gimicks two years in row Lise Haavik was happy when she won the ticket to represent Denmark at the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest. Lise is still active as singer who sings pop as well as jazz - and then she has found a call teaching in singing.
Danish rock singer Sanne Salomonsen who participated in the Swedish final in 2005 is on the way with a new album. It should have been released in November, but has now been postponed to January or February 2009.
It was a coincidence, but couldn’t have been planned better as the Dutch docu-soap with Gerard Joling and Gordon as the main characters started just as I arrived to the Netherlands. I must admit that I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry.

Finally, it seems the BBC is serious about the Eurovision Song Contest. They have always professed to be serious about it and I have been happy to believe them. I’ve never been able to comprehend why they would deliberately want to be embarrassed every year.
