TRT Opens its 3rd Annual Poll on Facebook for 2011

The European Broadcasting Union's Turkish member, TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation), has opened their annual poll that is entitled: 'Who Should Represent Turkey Next Year in Germany?'. It's planned Turkey's participant for Eurovision Song Contest 2011 will be chosen through the result of the poll.

Facebook, one of the biggest personal profile websites on the internet, is hosting many artists from the Eurovision Song Contest. Nowadays, some of the biggest names are topping the list of viewers' clicks.

German Eurovision Song Contest winner Lena can now celebrate her second week as number one on the Swedish single chart where 7 of her competitors in Oslo also are present. The songs from the recent held contest are also extremely popular as ringtones.

Shortly after Lena had been declared the winner of the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, the EBU released the results of the two semi-finals.

Germany has won the 55th Eurovision Song Contest by a big margin, beating Turkey into second place. Romania achieved its best result by finishing third.

Shocks and Surprises - The Story of the Second Semi-Final

After the fairly uncontroversial results of the first semi-final, tonight’s second semi-final produced a number of surprises and talking points. Some songs considered sure-fire finalists were left behind, while those that should have been disposed of lived to sing another day.

This time next week, we will know whose hard work has paid off and where we will gather next year. Meanwhile, the preparations continued for some of the participants in the second semi-final starting with Ireland. The Big 4 and Norway also had their final solo rehearsals.

The final semi-finalists to rehearse today were Turkey.  This is the most contemporary song of the 39, and maNga are used to performing in arenas of this size.  So a three-minute song like this should suit them.

Four days into the two week long party, and all delegations competing in the two semi finals have now rehearsed and spoken to the press. Today saw the remainder of the countries in the second semi-final take to the stage and the conference room.
