Despite what couldn't have been anything but a disappointing result for Didrik Solli Tangen, the Norwegian representative at this year's contest, he appears to have taken the defeat on the chin, turning the whole experience into something positive.

Popular Danish final trio that got reduced to a duo shortly after their second attempt to represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest is currently half way through their selection of a new member. 10 girls are left in the competition where the public will now be voting – one of the hopeful ones is daughter of a former Eurovision participant.

The excitement was no doubt huge for many when an invitation for an upcoming Eurovision concert was sent to their mailbox from the Norwegian Eurovision Fan Club, OGAE Norway. Excitement quickly turned to disappointment however, when it was announced on Friday that the event organiser had no choice but to pull the plug on the imminent concert.

This year's contest was a roaring success both in terms of organisation, the general musical quality and standard of many entries. The viewing figures just released by the EBU for this year's contest are also being hailed as a viewing triumph.

Weeks of speculation finally came to a close when the complete results of both the public televote and the jury vote were revealed by the EBU. Whereas the first and last positions were undisputable and agreed upon by both voting groups, were the results really as cut and dried as they appeared to be in this year's final?

Thea Saliba, who represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 is going strong in Malta with her latest German produced offering called I'm Your Fan. The song was released just recently and already does very well in the Maltese Music Charts at Number 4 and climbing.
