She may not have wowed the audiences with her poperatic Eurovision entry La Voix, but if she sticks to what she knows best, ie opera, it seems as if all that Malena Ernman touches turns to gold. Her latest opera stint in Vienna is no exception.
Austrians seemingly can't get enough of Sweden's Grand Dame of Opera Malena Ernman at the moment. The versatile artist represented Sweden at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with poperatic entry La Voix. She's presently giving her own interpretation in the opera Serse by Händel.
I’m very sorry to say that I will not be able to join my team-mates of EuroVisionary in Moscow for this years Eurovision Song Contest. Instead, I’ll be following the rehearsals and press conferences via Internet this year. Right now, I really wish I was there, but I guess I have to settle with the next best thing, my computer.
Having previously announced that the public televote will be combined by a jury vote, the EBU have now announced details of how this new system will work.
Malena Ernmann will be representing Sweden at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with this song called "La Voix". Last year Sweden qualified for the final where they finished 18th.
