Eurovision Song Contest winner wins silver medal at the Olympics

Russian figure skater Evgeny Plushenko, who accompanied Dima Bilan on stage when he won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, won silver last night at the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Canada. He is however not at all satisfied and speculations already have started that he was deliberately robbed from the gold.

Iceland - 3rd Semi Final Completed

The third semi-final of Iceland’s Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins' was held last Saturday by its national public broadcaster RUV. Two acts claimed the last places available in the final.

The Dreams is fulfilling new dreams

The Dreams didn't manage to win last year's Dansk Melodi Grand Prix when they participated with the song La' mig være. The Faroese punk rock band is now back with a new album contains both studio and live versions. A DVD with interviews, videos and live performances is included as well.

Last year's San Marinnese participiant at the Eurovision Song Contest, Miodio, join us to share their experiences at the Eurovision Song Contest in Serbia, the Sanremo Festival in Italy and the band reveal that they might just be in Moscow in May despite their country not participating.

Danish songwriter Remee who wrote the 2008 German Eurovision Song Contest entry for No Angels has launched a new online magazine. The magazine is free and 100% advert financed and Remee is hoping to attract even more talents around him.

Norsk Melodi Grand Prix, what a gem!

For the past couple of years now the Norsk Melodi Grand Prix has been my favourite national final. The widely varying songs and the real enthusiasm of the Norwegian people never cease to impress me. That’s partly why I was so happy to see Maria Haukaas Storeng do so well in Belgrade last year.
