FYR Macedonia had their first national semifinal on 18th February in their capital city Skopje. Out of 14 participants, eight passed to the final and are still in the running to represenet the country at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contet in Oslo in may.

The past two days FYR Macedonia has eliminated 16 songs in the attempt to find their entry for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. Just as many are still in the running to represent the country in Moscow. Tonight the winner of the 2009 SkopjeFest will be decided in a combination of jury vote and televoting.
