Nordman and Sibel won the Swedish second chance round, but all spotlights are targeting Carola Häggkvist. How did she go from being queen of Melodifestival to being near humiliated and having a glorious career thrown in pieces?
If NordicBets odds are to be trusted Carola Häggkvist and Andreas Johnson will qualify for the final in Globen via the Second chance round. Ola and Sibel will be fighting for the second spot, but Charlotte Perrelli or Sanna Nielsen will win the final.
The third Swedish final offered 8 different songs by a good mix of experienced well-known names and young talents with a lot of energy. And that was indeed what the Swedish population went for when they picked BWO and Frida feat. Headline for the final.
Måns came third in the Swedish final, Melodifestival, in 2007 with this song Cara Mia. He didn't go to Eurovision - but managed to get a big hit on the charts in his home country.

8 songs took part in the second Swedish heat that took place in Västerås. The biggest expectations laid on the shoulders of Andreas Johnson and Carola Häggkvist, but they disappointed a bit and only reached the second chance contest.
The last couple of weeks before the holidays, Swedish broadcaster SVT announced the names for Melodifestivalen 2009. For us Swedes, there are quite a few well known names. Stars like Alcazar, Marie Serneholt, Shirley Clamp and Måns Zelmerlöw are going to participate this year.
