This year's United Kingdom hopefuls will perform one of their songs at the Spain national final. Tomorrow night, they are invited as special guests together with Albert Hammond, Sole Giménez and Daniel Diges at the grand final, where the Spanish entry for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest will be chosen.
Destino Eurovisión comes to an end. It will be next Friday, 18th February, when finally, the three finalists will compete to become the Spanish representative in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The audience will have the last word and they will decide among Lucía Pérez, Melissa or Auryn who will perform a medley of nine potential entries, three each.
A new batch of twelve hopefuls will battle it out to become one of the five singers to qualify for the semi-final and they will join the five selected already. There are, as in the previous heat, artists with different backgrounds and they represent many different musical genres. Get to know them!
Spain just finished their first heat of Destino Eurovisión in the search for who can wave the Spanish flag in Düsseldorf. Out of the 12 acts presented, David Sancho, Auryn, Lucía Pérez, Gio and Da Igual managed to convince the jury and audience to advance to the national semi-final, but for the seven others, the journey ended here.
Within a matter of hours the first show of Destino Eurovisión is going to start. The twelve participants will perform hits from the Eurovision Song Contest. You can watch it tonight at 22:15 CET on TVE-1 where the artists will sing songs like Fly On The Wings Of Love, Wild Dances and Non Ho L'Età and of course several Spanish entries.
There will be four shows and the first of these will be next Friday, the28th of January at 22:15 CET on TVE-1. Established artists wishing to take part in the selection have until next Thursday to submit their application for Destino Eurovisión.
RTVE had made public the titles of the 20 songs aiming to represent Spain this year in Düsseldorf shortlisted by an expert committee. Spanish and foreign composers, well-known faces to Eurofans, have applied with their entries.
Today, the names have been announced of the 24 candidates who will battle out in the Spanish national selection. Furthermore, RTVE has confirmed that the first gala will be held in Barcelona and it will be presented by Anne Igartiburu once more.
Spanish broadcaster TVE has revealed their jury points. United Kingdom scored the 12 points while the winning country Norway got 10 points. Biggest jump is however to Patricia Kaas who recieved 8 points from the jury, but only three in the combined voting.
After winning the national final in Spain Soraya is now preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest in May, but tomorrow evening she will take time to answer questions from her fans. It will happen at the broadcaster's website and questions can be asked in both Spanish and English.
