Azerbaijani broadcaster İçtimai TV has announced the final selection date, voting system and further details of the Azeri national final to choose their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest which will be held on Oslo this year.

UK Jury Gives 12 Points to Germany

The BBC has revealed the votes of the public televote and the jury. The results show that the jury gave the top score to Germany’s swing number, while the public put Turkey at the top of the list.

The polish broadcaster has today released the full televoting & jury results from the 2009 semifinal and final. Results shows that Azerbaijan scored a huge win in the semifinal over Norway and that Denmark benefited a lot from the jury.

Spanish broadcaster TVE has revealed their jury points. United Kingdom scored the 12 points while the winning country Norway got 10 points. Biggest jump is however to Patricia Kaas who recieved 8 points from the jury, but only three in the combined voting.  

Israeli jury votes revealed

The result of the Israeli jury voting has been revealed by the Israeli broadcaster IBA. Iceland got the maximum 12 points from the jury while Norway came second. In the combined points the two Nordic countries was swapped around.

DR has published the Danish jury votes which show quite some difference from the televoting. The jury awarded Iceland with the 12 points and countries like Estonia and Russia also did better with the jury than the televoting.

Yet another scandal: Spain pushing the rules

Another scandal has hit the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest the day before the big final. This time it is Spain pushing the rules quite far with not broadcasting the semi-final with the cancellation of televoting as a result – and now they have gone a step further by publishing the result of their jury points.

The day after the first semi-final the Eurovision Song Contest is officially hit by a couple of scandals. Head jury, Filipp Kirkorov, is seeing the Norwegian participant privately and Toppers are threatening to boycott the final should they qualify – EuroVisionary explains what is actually going on!
