Kurt Calleja will be representing Malta at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with the song This is the Night. Kurt will have to work harder as this country couldn't qualify to the final last year.
Malta will kick off their campaign for the Eurovision Song Contest this friday. Twenty four entries will try to qualify to the final stage where only sixteen will be proceed. Well known names Fabrizio Faniello, Jessica Muscat and Claudio Faniello are back for another attempt to represent this country. Let's get to know the participants.
Romina Mamo took part in the 2003 and 2005 Malta Song For Europe competitions. Now she has released her debut album, Eyes On Me, with songs from various composers including Eurovision writers Gerard James Borg and Philip Vella.
Tonight, from the MFCC in Ta'Qali Malta, Thea Garrett with her song My Dream was selected by the Maltese public to represent Malta for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010.
Tonight Malta will select from 20 songs their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in May. EuroVisionary are in Malta to report on the festival. After speaking to some local journalists and fans the winner is expected to be between Claudia Faniello, Lawrence Gray, Eleanor Cassar and newcomer, Thea Garrett.
After six semi finals the 20 acts have been announced who have qualified for the 2010 Malta Eurosong final. The annoucement was made today on PBS on the news programme.
After 122 songs were performed to an expert jury, Malta have selected 36 semi-finalists. The songs will be performed on the weekly PBS broadcasted show 'L-Isfida' hosted by Claudia Pace (Malta 2000). 6 songs will be presented each week from 9 December 2009
Rosman Pace is a singer from Malta. He is very well known for his strong voice and great technical ability. He is a great fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and he has a wish to represent Malta one day in the contest. He says that there are so many things which he has yet to discover, so his story will be continued.
Konkorz Kanzunetta Indipendenza Festival, which is made for Malta's Independence Festival, has been a hotbed for finding singers for the Eurovision Song Contest and Malta Song for Europe, which is Malta's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
