Congratulations to The Netherlands who won the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. The voting was very close with the leadership changing several times between The Netherlands, Armenia, Belgium and Russia. But Ralf Mackenbach over took from Armenia and Russia to win when the F.Y.R. Macedonia voted last.

EuroVisionary interviews 2009 Romania Junior Eurovision singer, Ioana Bianca Anuta. Ioana will sing Ai Puterea In Mana Ta (You Have The Power In Your Hand) at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev on 23 November 2009.

Tonight, a special show will be aired on the Turkish National Broadcaster, TRT, where 10 Turkish Eurovision Song Contest entries will be performed by young contestants from the Genç Mikrofon Contest. It's rumoured that the winning group will be representing Turkey at Junior Eurovision Song Contest next year with Turkey's possible representation.

The third national selection in Georgia to choose the entry to participate at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, was held in Tblisi last night. Ten songs competed for the Moscow ticket, and Stephane & 3G won the title with their song We Don't Wanna Put In, whose lyrics are rumoured to be negative towards Russia.

Georgia has decided to join the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Moscow in 2009, after the political crisis and war had ended between Russia and Georgia. Georgia had decided to boycott Russia and not send a song to the contest.

Before this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest I was asked what it would take for the Nordic countries to return to the Contest. I mentioned a list of things, which would have to change in order for that to be realistic and then I spent two Saturday’s watching the two shows.

Under the theme Fun In The Sun the summing bees from Georgia won tonight's 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Quite refreshingly then song as well as performance from winning the country was one of the songs that were kept at a children level.

The participants have arrived to Cyprus and just like at the Eurovision Song Contest it means that it is time for final rehearsals to start. The official welcome party kicks off tonight and with the theme Fun in the sun everyone should have a great time on the Island where winter seems far away.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest comes closer to rock Lemasos. The order in which the 15 songs will participate has been decided and Romania gets the challenge of opening the event.
