The Eurovision Party season continued unabated with a party hosted by the Greek and Cypriot delegations and the huge Eurodom. More than half of this year's contestants performed on the stage to a packed house.
A week into rehearsals and finally the five countries already in the final took to the stage. Before that, it was the turn of some of the remaining countries in Thursday’s second semifinal to rehearse for the second time.
The tradition of Belarussian party continues, as it impresses with its lavishness. A galaxy of Eurovision stars past and present, including Koldun, Polina Smolova, and Ruslan Alehno entertained thousands of delegates at a party that will be talked about for years to come.
Day 4 saw the remaining participants from the second semifinal rehearse for the first time, followed by the obligatory press conference. Slovenia were the early risers this morning, Dutch group, De Toppers brought the day to a close.
At a quite popular press conference Greek representative Sakis Rouvas gave a little taste of how his song would sound without any instruments. Watch our video to hear that.
Sakis Rouvas was asked if he liked the entry from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Aside from thinking that Regina was a female singer he answered quite well when he turned it into being about what is good music and why he prefers a national with public voting over an internal selection.
Having previously announced that the public televote will be combined by a jury vote, the EBU have now announced details of how this new system will work.
Sakis Rouvas will be representing Greece at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with this song called This Is Our Night. Last year Greece qualified for the final where they finished 3rd.
An internal jury has selected the group Regina to represent Bosnian & Herzegovina at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. Tonight their song Bistra Voda will be presented to the public in a big show that features several of its competitors in Moscow.
