The latest album from three times Eurovision Song Contest winner was in September released in Denmark, Sweden and Norway and made it to the charts in all three countries. At the end of January Irishman in America will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

With his latest album “Irishman in America” Johnny Logan is back on the Scandinavian charts, which he more or less owned with the previous CD. With a calendar that doesn’t leave space for much else than touring in Denmark, Sweden and Norway this Irishman has really conquered Scandinavia.

ABBA back on the charts

ABBA Gold and Mamma Mia soundtrack

After the premiere of the film version of the musical Mamma Mia ABBA is back on the charts. Not only is the soundtrack a best seller, but also ABBA’s greatest hits album, Gold, that includes the original ABBA songs is once again selling well around Europe.

Football beats Kate Ryan, Perrelli, Maria, Kalomira and Tellier on Swedish charts.

2008 Melodifestival participants are still well represented on the Swedish single top 60 where several names from the Eurovision Song Contest now have entered as well. Kate Ryan, who represented Belgium in 2006, is this week ranked higher than any of them though all are beaten by football songs!

This week seven of the participants from the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest are to be found on the Danish charts. The winner, Dima Bilan, is nowhere to be found on the Top-40 while Sebastien Tellier and Kalomira joins the Nordic participants in a success in Denmark.
