Sukkerchok confirms break-up

The successful Danish girl trio Sukkerchok confirmed in a TV program Tuesday evening that they have been reduced to a duo after Inez decided to try a solo career. The remaining two girls are so far planning to continue - once they have found another girl to join them.

The Turkish group Manga who will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest is introducing their song in just a few hours. The show will be broadcasted on the internet giving everyone an oppertunity to hear the song at first moment. EuroVisionary will be present to report all about it to you.

Sirusho, who sang 'Qele Qele' for Armenia in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, said the Eurovision Song Contest was an important music show case for her.

First Controversy of 2010 Comes from Armenian Selections

As the national finals get into full swing across Europe, controversy is starting to creep in to the Armenian selections. One of the songs due to compete in the final has been found to be similar to two other songs.

Azerbaijan: 3 acts qualified for the Final

This evening, the semi final of the Azerbaijani selections was held at the Buta Palace in Baku. In all, six participants competed and three of them qualified for the final, which will be held at the end of February.

Albania begins the seach for their Eurovision song for 2010

As in recent years Albania is amongst the first to select their Eurovision Song Contest entry.

 

United Kingdom Wins OGAE Song Contest 2009

OGAE United Kingdom won the OGAE Song Contest 2009, which was held by last year's winner OGAE Croatia, with the song Viva la Vida by Coldplay with 241 points. Greece came second with 211 points and Italy placed 3rd with 152 points in the contest. 

EBU fine to Azerbaijan and Spain - disagreement about the amount

Two of the major cases in relation to the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest saw its ending today when it was published that both Spain and Azerbaijan will receive a fine for their breaking of the rules. EBU wants to send a strong signal to broadcasters not to do that and denies that one of the fines is just 2700 Euros.
