Yesterday the organisers were able to present three former Eurovision winner Carola as a special guest performer for Eurovision In Concert. A total of 18 participants are so far confirmed as well for the preview party to be held in Amsterdam on the 13th of April.
The UK branch of OGAE is one of the larger national fan clubs of Eurovision. For the past few years, it has held a preview party, and this has become one of the must-attend events for all British Eurovision fans. This year Manchester will again be hosting the event on Saturday 16 April.
The UK's fan club hosted its 6th annual Boom Bang-a-Bang party in Manchester on 30 April. Videos, voting and lots of surprises make sure that this is an event not to be missed. Fans from all over the north-west of England and beyond gathered at the Revolution bar to decide which songs they'd send to the ESC final on 29 May.
This year, OGAE Turkey - the Turkish organization beloved to Eurovision Song Contest - has decided to celebrate their Turkish Eurovision Party. Called Nightvision Party, it will be an open organization for everyone interested in Eurovision Song Contest. It will be held on 1st May.
The preview party in the Netherlands has turned out to become quite a big party with 23 of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest participants confirmed and a former Dutch participant as host. The party takes place in Amsterdam, but all participants will be offered a visit to the capital, The Hague earlier today.
It appears like the Bulgarian participants become the eight 2008 Eurovision Song Contest act to be revealed as part of the line up for the UK Eurovision Preview party. The event, which is being billed as the biggest Eurovision event in London since 1977, will take place on Friday 25th April.
