28 years after finishing near the bottom of the scoreboard at the Eurovision Song Contest the Norwegian entry Sámiid Ædnan by Sverre Kjelsberg & Mattis Hætta has now been adopted by football supporters in England.
Here is the Norwegian entry for the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest. It ended 16th with 15 points. The song Sámiid Ædnan is sung in Sami which is quite different from regular Norwegian. The song is now being used by English football fans.
The last couple of weeks before the holidays, Swedish broadcaster SVT announced the names for Melodifestivalen 2009. For us Swedes, there are quite a few well known names. Stars like Alcazar, Marie Serneholt, Shirley Clamp and Måns Zelmerlöw are going to participate this year.
