Seasonal albums are all part and parcel of being a recording artist in Scandinavia and two times Swedish Eurovision entrant Charlotte Perrelli is no exception. Not only does she have the annual Christmas present list to take care of, but she's also working hard on promoting her upcoming album, due for release next month.
As tradition goes, Swedish schlager fans usually have a summer highlight to look forward to, when the annual Diggiloo summer tour comes to town during the course of July and August. Lasse Holm has been the compere for the event for the last ten years, but according to Swedish media has now decided to step down as of next year.

Charlotte Perrelli has recently released her new album titled as her Melodifestivalen entry, The Girl, and one song is particularly striking for Eurovision fans. Its title is Little Braveheart and it is sung in a duet with another Eurovision Song Contest former participant: no less than Belgium Kate Ryan.
On Saturday night after the fourth semi final all of this years participating songs were released. 20 of the 32 songs went right into the list of the 50 most downloaded songs on iTunes. Among the top 10 songs in the list, 9 comes from Melodifestivalen.
This week's semi final were a battle between several of Sweden's most loved artists but only two of them could go through to the final. The lucky one's getting the desirable spots in the final were Lisa Miskovsky and Danny. Christer Sjögren and Lotta Engberg and Dynazty will have a new chance to qualify in next week's second chance heat.
