Sixteen acts were competing tonight in the first of two semi-finals of the Selecția Națională 2013. Among the candidates we had very popular artists in Romania and abroad, former Eurovision entrants and also some promising young singers who have proved their talent in different musical tv shows.

TVR, the Romanian broadcaster released today the official details of the National Selection which will take place on March 10th! Artists can now submit their entries for the National Final, until February 23rd when the deadline has been set. 

TVR, the Romanian Broadcaster officially confirmed Romania's participation for this year's Eurivision Song Contest, to be held in Baku in May, by announcing that details for the national selection will be launched on the 18th of January.

Will Romania take part at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012? The answer will be revealed tonight, when during the board meeting of Romanian broadcaster SRTv, Romania's fate at the upcoming contest in may will be decided according to the Romanian newspaper Adevărul. Romania may not take part due to financial problems.

After many fake rumours circulating online, TVR (the Romanian broadcaster) finally declared that Romania will take part at the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

On New Year's Eve night, Romanians will vote on who will represent their country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf. It is the first time TVR (Romanian National Broadcaster) have held the selection for the Eurovision Song Contest on New Year's Eve. The special guest is Mr. Johnny Logan nicknamed as "Mr.Eurovision".

Romanian composers have written 77 songs for the 2011 Romanian National Selection where they will choose the song that will represent Romania at the 2011 edition in Dusseldorf (Germany) of the largest music contest in Europe - Eurovision.

Romanian Television (TVR) has announced the start of Eurovision 2010 National Selection. The whole project is coordinated by Ms. Mariana Almasan - Socaciu, who is committed to selecting for Oslo the best song performed by the best voice.

This year, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Ukraine, will host the participants from 13 countries for its 7th running of annual contest. Three countries have withdrawn who competed last year, while one country returns.
