A couple days ago, Hungarian broadcaster MTV announced that they will not be participating in the Eurovision Song Contest next year due to a financial crisis.

In the first place Georgia didn't want to participate at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. EBU managed to persuade them, but when Georgia yesterday was told to either change the lyrics of their chosen entry or pick another song it apparently become too much for the country that now states that they will simply withdraw anyway.    

Hungary broadcaster, MTV, is having quite some problems finding a singer for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. First Mark Zentai was chosen, he was then disqualified and Kátya Tompos was presented as the one to replace him. She has now withdrawn from the contest due to lack of time.

Only a day after announcing Mark Zentai as their representative for Moscow 2009, Hungarian broadcaster MTV has announced his withdrawal.
Kátya Tompos has been chosen instead of him. She will sing a song from a film.

It is only 2 months ago Dima Bilan won the Eurovision Song Contest and gave Russia an opportunity to host the 2009 edition. Reports say however that several neighbour countries are considering not taking part.

With the Romanian final due to be held this coming Staurday there is a change in the line-up. Two of the songs that were due to take part have been withdrawn from the competition.
