About the song:

This is most definitely a party song that you have to dance to. It tells you that partying is fun and you've just got to let yourself go and shake your body.

About the participant:

Trackshittaz are Lukas Plöchl (G-Neila) and Manuel Hoffelner (Manix) and hail from the Mühlviertel area of the Austrian state of Oberösterreich. They were formed in 2010 through a Youtube project. In October of that year Lukas participated in a talent show Castingshow Helden. After this, they released their first song Oida Taunz! which eventually was entered in Düsseldorf wir kommen which selected the song to represent Austria at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. They finished runners-up to Nadine Beiler. Nevertheless, Oida Taunz! made it to Number One in Austria and was in the charts for 27 weeks.

Their follow up song, Guuugarutz also made to Number One in early 2011. The hits have continued and two Number Twos have followed subsequently. Since formation, Trackshittaz have also released four albums.

About the selection:

Austrian broadcaster ORF organised a televised national final using an identical format to 2011. A call for songs yielded over 100, and it was announced that ten would make it through to the final held in February 2012. Nine were initially announced in November giving them the chance to write songs. A tenth finalist was announced in early January.

Televoting was used to whittle the final 10 songs down to two, which then participated in a super final. Trackshittaz beat Conchita Wurst by taking 51% of the vote to 49%.
