2012: Sabina Babayeva - When The Music Dies

Since 2008 Sabina Babayeba has participated consistently in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, but it wasn’t until 2012 she finally won.

Sabina Babayeva was born on the 2nd of December 1979 in Baku. She graduated from the music college named after Asaf Zeynalli. Sabina is a skillful singer of pop and soul genres and of balllad musical movements. She also knows about 50 of the "Jazz Standards". She has been the soloist for the "Aypara" vocal instumental ensemble for more than 7 years.

In 2001, she was the winner of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the "The Golden Key" contest for young singers and in 2009 she received the "Amberstar" award in Latvia and the "Gran Prix" award in Moscow at the "Slavic Star".

She has also performed solo at the Baku Jazz Club and in 2010, she took the role of Fleur-de-Lys in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris where her counterpart was Azerbaijan’s representative in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest Elnur Huseynov.
