Compact Disco are a four member band consisting of Behnam Lotfi, Csaba Walkó, Gábor Pál and Attila Sándor.
They started recording in 2008 and are now one of the most popular bands in Hungary. The first album was called Stereoid and the first single, I'm In Love, was a massive hit where it topped the VIVA Hungary club chart and made it internationally in club charts in United Kingdom and Switzerland.
The second album II was released in 2011 and was also a big success. Compact Disco won Best Local Act - Hungary at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2011.
Compact Disco performed a sold out special gig in January 2012 on the A38 ship. They are are now one of the most popular groups in Hungary.
Hungary held two semi finals and a grand final to select their entry for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. The national selection went by the name of A Dal. The semi finals were held on 28 January and 4 February. Four songs qualified from each semi final. The final was held on 11 February.

Kati Wolf was a member of the expert jury and she performed Szerelem Miért Múlsz, the Hungarian version of her 2011 Eurovision entry for Hungary.
The public voted for the four super finalists - Király Testvérek, Caramel, Compact Disco, and Heincz Gábor 'Biga'. Then the jury voted for the out right winner to represent Hungary in Baku. So, Compact Disco were chosen as the winners.
Sound Of Our Hearts has an electro/indy 80s pop sound. It has a mid tempo beat with use of synthesizers. It has a catchy chorus and has a retro feel but very modern sounding too.
