About the participant:

Maya Sar is a songwriter, composer and singer who has been working with famous names in the music industry and as an author and also studio musician. She has been working for the band of Dino Merlin and last year they attended to the Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf, receiving one of the best results for Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Maya released her first album Nespretno which worked very well in the charts, she gained a lot of respect of the Balkan viewers. Besides the singing skills, Maya composes for other artists in the family studio with her husband and producer Mahir Sarihodžić who also composed the representative act, Korake ti Znam.

In addition to her music life, Maya is working for an humanitarian civilization for cerval cancer and therefore she wrote the eponymous song My Life Is My Song (Moj je život moja pjesma).

About the selection:

The Bosnian broadcaster BHRT, went to an internal selection as numerous countries used the same process. The broadcaster firstly announced with a press conference that experienced musician Maya Sar would be having the honour of representing Bosnia & Herzegovina at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.

Later, the second press conference was held by Art director Belmin Karamehmedovic and Maya Sar where the details of the song, Korake ti znam were shared with the viewers. Finally the song was presented to public on March 16th.

About the song:

The Bosnian entry is called Korake ti Znam (means Everything I Love) is a pure ballad with popular modern music elements and regional Balkan elements. It is penned by Maya and composed by her husband Mahir Sarihodžić then Italian maestro Adriano Pennino gave the latest shape to this entry.
