Nadine Beiler was born in Innsbruck, Austria on 16th May 1990 and is already an established artist in Austria.
She became known in Austria in 2006 at the age of 16 when she entered for television show Starmania (Nadine being the youngest contestant on the live shows). She pleased the judges and the public all the way through to the final show singing hits such as; Hurt by Christina Aguilera and Over The Rainbow by Judy Garland.
Nadine won the show in January 2007 before releasing her first single, Alles Was Du Willst, reaching number 2 in the Austrian music charts.
Nadine is now back (spending the last couple of years studying at university) with her song The Secret Is Love representing Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.
The Austrian selection for 2011, Düsseldorf, Wir Kommen! was very well organised and completely professional. Unlike previous years, Austria (along with Switzerland), seem to be taking their decision for the participant of their Eurovision Song Contest entrant seriously for the first time in many years. The show took place on Friday 25th February 2011.
The favourites of the night were Trackshitazz/Lukas Plöchl with their song Oida Taunz, a lively dance song featuring a lot of energy. However, Nadine managed to overcome the duo with an amazingly strong performance winning over the hearts of Austria with her song The Secret Is Love.
The show consisted of 10 participants performing their entries with Nadine appearing 9th. During Nadine's performance she sounded similar to Kate Winslet with her song What If and had a similar tone to Christina Aguilera.
The voting for Düsseldorf, Wir Kommen! was 100% tele-vote with ORF relying on the audience of Austria's decision completely. The top three participants entered a super-final (Trackshittaz/Lukas Plöchl, Klimmstein feat. Joe Summer and Nadine Beiler) with another tele-vote choosing the Austrian representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 as Nadine Beiler.
