2009: Igor Cukrov, Andrea Šušnjara - Lijepa Tena

The song was performed by two young talents, Igor Cukrov and Andrea Šušnjara, but it was obviously seen that Andrea was more like one of Igor’s backing vocalists, althought they stand as a duo at the stage.

Igor, aged 26, was born in Šibenik in Croatia but mostly grew up in another city, Split, as his family moved there when he was just two years old. He studied Theology, the science of Religion, there.

In 2007, he was discovered after one of his performance in a Festival in Split. That performance changed his life and he won the Best Debutant Award  there in the festival. Later he sang tenor vocal at an opera.

Igor also can play the instruments guitar, piano, trumpet and clarinet besides singing and pop and rock are his favourite genres.

Andrea, aged 25, was born in Split and thought she was born to sing when she was very young. So since then she’s been creating her own way in the music sector as she studied music and took extra singing lessons too.

Her first performance in the Croatian selection, Dora, was made in 2004 firstly, receiving an honourable second in the final. The next year, she received in 4th again in Dora.

After Tonči Huljić insisted she join Igor in Dora in 2009, she finally got her ticket for the Eurovision Song Contest.
