Today Elitsa and Stoyan presented the three songs shortlisted by the broadcaster BNT that will take part in the song selection show scheduled to take place on the 3rd of March where it will be decided, which one of them is the Bulgarian Eurovision entry for 2013.
Marco Mengoni has won the 63rd Sanremo festival with the song, L’essenziale. He won a three way vote against Elio e le Storie tese and Moda to join a long list of distinguished winners. He was also chosen to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö in May.
The third heat of A Dal, the Hungarian national selection took place in Budapest tonight. Ten more acts performed and the six more acts qualified for the next phase via televoting and jury votes. There will be two semi finals of A Dal before the grand final to decide who will represent Hungary at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.
We are now more than halfway through Melodifestivalen and this has been yet another week of sensations. This week the sensation consisted of four men singing an ironic song about Swedish Melodifestivalen. No one thought they would stand a chance, but they apparently made their way into the hearts of the Swedish viewers.
Österreich rockt den Songcontest - Austria rocks the song contest! With this slogan the Alpine Republic chose its representative for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest tonight. Five candidates participated in the national final. Natália Kelly finally won the 50:50 split voting between jury and televoting and will represent the country in Malmö.
Tere õhtust, Eesti! The attention of the nation was focused on the capital Tallinn tonight, as the first five finalists were selected for Eesti Laul 2013. Ten hopefuls fought for a place in the final which will take place at the Nokia Concert Hall in Tallinn on the 3rd of March.
The penultimate evening of the Sanremo festival saw all the artists in the Campioni section pay tribute to the past. In an evening called ‘Sanremo Story. They all sung classic songs from festivals past.
The 63rd Sanremo festival reached the halfway point this evening with all fourteen songs left in the Campioni section performing and the remaining four acts in the newcomers ‘Novita’ section competing for the two places left in the final.
