Sukkerchok find its third member via TV programme

Popular Danish final trio that got reduced to a duo shortly after their second attempt to represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest is currently half way through their selection of a new member. 10 girls are left in the competition where the public will now be voting – one of the hopeful ones is daughter of a former Eurovision participant.

Sukkerchok released football song for World Cup

The girl band Sukkerchok who has participated in the past two national finals in Denmark has released an unofficial football song in support for the Danish national team at the World Cup in South Africa. The song is called Sukkerbold and is mixed with some football commentator sound.

Jahn Teigen receives knighthood

A clearly moved and extremely humbled Jahn Teigen was the subject of much attention, after being presented with a knightood and the title of First Class Knight of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav yesterday. He was awarded the order by HM King Harald V for his services to the public as a musician and artist, but also for his humanitarian work.

German World Cup Version of Satellite

The Eurovision Song Contest just ended and the FIFA World Cup just started, but we have a connection in terms of an unofficial World Cup song. A group of students from Münster in Westphalia, called Uwu Lena, made a cover version of this year’s Eurovision winner Satellite by Lena Meyer-Landrut. The song is now called Schland o Schland.
