The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has suprisingly announced the postponing of the 3rd Eurovision Dance Contest 2009, which would have been held in Baku, to 2010. The main reason was declared as the number of broadcasters that signed up for participation did not reach the desired level.
The European Broadcasting Union has offically announced that the third Eurovision Dance Contest will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan this year. The contest will be held at the Haydar Aliyev Sports and Concerts Complex in September 2009.
The biggest event which the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) organises after the Eurovision and Junior Song Contests, the Eurovision Dance Contest, was held in Glasgow, UK last night.
Danish broadcaster had planned a big show to select this year’s Danish participants for the Eurovision Dance Contest, but the show was cancelled and they have now internally selected pop star Patrick and Infernal dancer Katja who will perform inspired by a famous Danish ghost.
The Danish broadcaster, DR, will be selecting its participant for the 2008 Eurovision Dance Contest on 7th of June. The six couples competing for the spot will be presented Friday the 23rd of May, the day before the Eurovision Song Contest final.
