TVE will be hosting this Saturday Mira Quién Va A Eurovisión, the national final to select the artist who will get the Spanish ticket to Copenhagen. Five established artists are in the running to be the successor of last year's entrant El Sueño De Morfeo. Let's get to know them a little better.

Tonight A Dal 2014 reached its first semi final of this weekend with the final looming next Saturday night. This evening the competition saw a mixture of groups and soloists compete again as they vie to represent Hungary in Denmark. Semi Final 2 is tomorrow night, then the full final line up will be known.

It appears that the Greek national will go ahead after all. According to the latest reports, the event will be called 'Eurosong 2014 - a MAD show' and four acts were leaked as its line-up. After fears to the contrary, Greek participation in Eurovision 2014 now looks secure!
The Portuguese broadcaster RTP has confirmed this afternoon the names of the ten artists and their song titles for the upcoming national selection, Festival da Canção. Among them there are some familiar faces such as Rui Andrade, Catarina Pereira and Carla Ribero.
One of Sweden's most beloved singers Alice Babs has passed away just recently after reaching the age of 90. Alice Babs had a long and successful career and was Sweden's first representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 1958.

Gaia Cauchi won the 2013 Junior Eurovision Song Contest for Malta with The Start. Gaia has premiered a dance remix of her winning song at the 2014 MMAs (Malta Music Awards), where she also won the International Achievement Award.
Amazingly, thirty years have already passed since three young brothers stood on the stage of the Grand Théâtre in Luxemburg, jubilant after giving Sweden a second victory at the contest. Herrey mania ensued and the trio are commonly regarded as the first Swedish boyband. To mark the thirtieth anniversary of their win, a special celebration is planned.
Last evening the first semi-final of Böyük Səhnə, the Azerbaijani national selection for the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest took place. The fourteen candidates performed in front of an expert jury and ten of them qualified to the second heat to be held next Sunday.
