Glen Vella from Malta made a surprise appearance athe Euro Fan Cafe in Malmö.  He took to the stage and performed three Eurovision songs.  He was also congratulated as it is his birthday today.

After the first dress rehearsal for semi-final one was held this afternoon, it was time for a second rehearsal this evening. Some of the acts might have a bit more nerves on as this is the rehearsal the juries will be basing their points upon.

Today it was time for the very first dress rehearsal in this year's Eurovision Song Contest. We are of course starting with the first semi-final. Which 10 songs will qualify and which 6 must go home?

Italy finished today's rehearsals of the big 5 and the host nation Sweden. After their return in 2011 with a second place in Düsseldorf and a 9th place in Baku San Remo winner Marco Mengoni also belongs to one of the pre-contest favourites. Could he fulfill the high expectations?

The night club Glasklart was Saturday night the place to be. Nordic Night featured all five Nordic acts and a lot of artists from other countries were present as well. 

Bonnie Tyler took to the stage for the United Kingdom's first set of rehearsals for Believe In Me.  Her first performance was waited for with much anticipation.

The anticipation was huge in the press centre for home boy Robin's first rehearsal today. He has turned in a consistently brilliant vocal performance, but his song is surprisingly not appreciated by as many. Would his first run through win him wider support?

Petra Mede will be the hostess of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest shows. Today she was introduced to the media at a press conference in Malmö. She was joined by show producer, Christer Björkman, and scriptwriter, Edward af Sillen.

One of the biggest names in this year's line up is for sure the German act Cascada. That is why their first rehearsal was expected with high interest among the press and fans.

On after an underwhelming Spain is the turn of French fancy Amandine Bourgeois with her sultry song of vengeance, L'Enfer et Moi. Any members of press who were taking a disco nap at their desk were soon woken by this charged performance.

Today is the day when we will see the automatic qualifiers first rehearsal. First out we have the band EDSM representing Spain with a pop-song with celtic touches called Contigo hasta el final.

After the first round of press conferences yesterday, it was the turn of the acts appearing in the second semi-final to move into the spotlight and answer questions from media and fans.

In recent days we have been concerned about Lys Assia's health but now we have some good news as it has been announced that she has made a good recovery and she will be in Malmö this Tuesday.

Cezar took to the stage for Romania's second rehearsal of It's My Life. Every gimmick you can imagine was put in to this three minute performance which viewers will surely remember either positively or negatively.
